Procures materials, supplies, and equipment, disposes of surplus equipment, manages stores inventories and works in coordination with ONEOK Purchasing/Materials department for utilization of system tools, practices, processes, and controls.
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities
Solicit quotes from vendors; analyze quotes to determine vendor selections.
Negotiate and make assignments of purchase contracts for materials, supplies, and equipment.
Dispose of surplus equipment through use of sealed-bid process.
Interpret material requisitions and procure materials to meet required specification, quality, and quantity.
Calculate, analyze, verify, and maintain items including, but not limited to:
Trade and chain discounts
Utilize inventory control methods to monitor, evaluate and manage inventories in order to keep them at optimal levels.
Analyze and resolve incorrect shipment of material; expedite material as required; and validate related freight invoices for payment.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related knowledge or experience:
Working knowledge of storeroom operations and company’s purchasing process.
Knowledge of materials, equipment, and supplies procured through purchasing and materials.
Working knowledge of company ERP Supply Chain application software.
Demonstrated ability to expedite, verify, and/or authorize orders for materials, supplies, and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to use office equipment applicable to position including computers and applicable software.
Application of math and formulas applicable to position.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret manuals, catalogues, contracts, warranty agreements, forms, reports, material requests, and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to compose and prepare purchase contracts, reports, forms, and correspondence.
Experience with inventory systems and resolving inventory problems.
Experience interacting, assisting, and communicating effectively.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
- Applicable driver's license for travel to other locations.
Mobility to travel in and around office and plant facilities and around job sites out-of-door.
Stooping/kneeling to stock and retrieve items from shelves.
Ability to operate tools and equipment required.
Climb onto and off ladders, forklifts, etc.
- Communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information. Conduct oral presentations.
Peripheral vision and accurate depth perception.
Sufficient to perform job duties.
